A weekly synthesis of world signals into a working investment thesis. By Mike C Singer.
I am not a finance professional. I studied philosophy. Five years ago I began building NewsPlanetAI to give one person a chance against the volume and opinion of the world's news -- to read what is changing while it is still latent.
This publication tests a question: can a layman with very little capital, using NewsPlanet plus intuition plus research plus the AI tools available to anyone, grow a portfolio by reading the world rather than reading the market? The portfolio (see holdings) is the proof in progress.
The reading itself is a small set of slow-moving patterns civilization is heading toward.
- Space. The new world. Asteroid mining, orbital infrastructure, observation -- the riches beyond Earth surpass every dollar of capital on it. The companies paving the way are being priced now.
- AI infrastructure. Consumer AI is the visible story. The durable position is upstream of it -- the data processing AI runs on, and the electricity it consumes at scale.
- Nuclear. With renewables politically blocked and AI demanding orders-of-magnitude more power, nuclear becomes the next safe energy regime. The world is shifting to this truth slowly, and then suddenly.
- Rare earths. Power, electronics, magnets -- every component of the next infrastructure depends on them. The companies that extract and process them are the picks-and-shovels of the buildout.
The weekly brief is the publication. The portfolio is the receipt. This is not investment advice; it is what one person does with the news. (Coverage.)
